AESTHETICS

Microneedling

Microneedling is a medical aesthetic procedure that uses several small needles to puncture the top layers of your skin while applying topical hydrating and anti-aging serum(s), resulting in the rejuvenation of your skin by initiating collagen production through your body’s natural healing process.

This is not your at-home dermal rolling process! This process results in reducing the appearance of pigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines, improves the overall texture (smoothness and firmness) of your skin, and decreases pore size, acne scarring and stretch marks. Following your medical spa treatment, your face may be reddened for two-three days and may feel like a minor sunburn. It may also cause minor bruising. This is normal and varies depending on different skin types. Most people notice visible skin improvements after just one medical spa treatment, however, depending on your skin appearance and goals, additional treatments may be necessary and can be performed as part of a maintenance anti-aging regimen several times a year. Purchase of post-care kit required.

Microneedling may be used in combination with your own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP - also known as a "Vampire Facial," popular with many of the celebrity advertisements) and Stem Cell Cytokines from human bone marrow to increase the overall collagen production, decrease healing time and maximize your results. PRP involves a quick blood draw in the office.

Your blood is spun to separate the plasma portion of your blood and then is applied during and after the procedure. Microneedling treatment(s) are relatively painless due to the topical medical grade lidocaine used prior to the procedure. AESTHETICS

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a method of manual removal of facial hair (including fine vellus "peach fuzz") and the outer layer of skin. Dermaplaning utilizes a scalpel to gently scrape off the dull dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Microdermabrasion in Denver

AESTHETICS

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatments use minimally abrasive instruments to gently exfoliate your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer of tissue to leave behind, fresh rejuvenated skin that glows naturally.

VI Chemical Peels

A VI chemical peel is a simple, self-neutralizing procedure for all skin types.

VI Peels improve the appearance of dull uneven skin tone and texture and reduce fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, sun damage, large pores, and skin roughness. All new clients will start with the VI Peel and advance to the Precision Peels as tolerated or needed. Clients may experience a mild initial burning sensation at the time of the procedure which is well-tolerated without the use of a topical numbing agent. Clients can expect to have a noticeable “self-tan” coloration of the skin which must remain on the skin for at least 4 hours post-treatment. Clients should notice an immediate difference in the treated area with the first treatment; however, multiple treatments may be required for persistent problematic areas and for generalized anti-aging and skin rejuvenation processes. Additional risks, pre and post-care, and other details will be discussed during your consultation and again at the time of your treatment. Includes all post-care products and a phone app for post-care reminders.

FAQ

  • Do I need a consultation? I’ve received this treatment before!

Yes! Every new patient is required to meet one-on-one with our staff to create a customized treatment plan. Here, we will do a skin assessment and set goals that will guide your treatment.

  • What’s the difference between a Hydrafacial® and a regular facial?

A Hydrafacial is performed using a state-of-the-art machine that provides exfoliation, hydration, and full face non traumatic extractions all in one session. There is usually no downtime associated with this type of facial.

  • Can I do this on my lunch break and return to work afterward?

Certainly. Most of our aesthetic treatments require no serious downtime. Microneedling, PRP and chemical peels, may cause some redness or discoloration immediately after and some peeling in the days following treatment. We advise that you schedule a day off or do it after work, but it is not a requirement, nor medically necessary.

  • Can I continue treatment while I’m pregnant?

Some of our treatments are perfectly safe to continue while pregnant and/or breastfeeding, while others are not. If you think you may be pregnant, are trying to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, just let your service provider know and we can modify your treatments for the safety of you and your baby!
Fun fact: your skin can do some pretty amazing things naturally while you’re pregnant and treatment may not even be necessary while you rock your pregnancy glow!

  • What's the difference between dermatology and esthetics?

Dermatology is a medical profession, practiced by licensed physicians who specialize in skin disorders and conditions. Estheticians are skin care therapists and their abilities do not include diagnosis, prescription, or any other service, procedure, or therapy that requires a medical license. However, the two professions compliment each other in that if you're being treated by a dermatologist, your esthetician can provide complementary and support therapies. Transversely, estheticians are trained to recognize early signs of many medical conditions affecting the skin, and will refer you to a dermatologist if they notice anything that may warrant it.
