FDA approved for permanent hair reduction (clients can expect 60-95% hair reduction), is a comfortable fast (usually 5-60 minutes) photothermal energy treatment with no downtime and can target brown and black hairs in clients with Fitzpatrick skin types I-V.
It is recommended to complete 6-8 treatments at 4-6 week intervals for the most effective benefit of this treatment modality. After 6-8 treatments, any remaining hairs are considered to be resistant to laser/light-based therapies and clients can choose at that time to continue with Laser/ForeverBare BBL treatments to keep the hairs weak and thin or choose to swap to treating the remaining hairs with electrolysis for permanent hair removal.
Clients should arrive freshly shaven with no topically applied skincare products. Clients can expect a mild to moderate rubber band snap-type sensation during the treatment and may experience a mild pink sunburn-type coloration and sensation post-treatment.
